During the week of La Francophonie, Poem Competition were organized among 13 French speaking countries of Africa. Pupils were to write a poem using 10 words they were given. The competition had been done in all the provinces of Burundi in order to pre-select the best poems that will represent the country among the 13 countries.
Once the poems are selected on National level, they had also to go to Senegal[ the seat of La Francophonie in Africa] to compete with the first works of the 12 countries. It is with joy that we announce the third[3rd] price went to Nelly Princia Habonimana, a little girl studying at Future Hope School Makamba, grade 5 of the primary school.
The awards and cerificate delivery were honored by the Minister of Education.
