Shammah Medical Clinic

After almost two years of preparation and construction, the medical clinic is ready to start operations in June 2013. The clinic will not only offer care to the children at the Gitega orphanage, but it will also serve the surrounding community. We hope the clinic will be pivotal in curbing Malaria, AIDS, and malnutrition in Burundi.

We are very blessed to have received Josh and Nadine Guenther. They are living in Gitega at their home next to Shammah Medical Clinic.

We thank God for the medical equipment for the Clinic, which was sent by some of our Canadian friends. There is still a great need for equipment as we prepare to open the clinic's doors. In addition to our Canadian nurses, we are always looking for doctors and nurses (as well as admin staff) to come and volunteer with us, as well as train our staff. One day we will have Burundian doctors and nurses staffing the clinic.

The foundation was just built for a medical clinic at our Cibitoke site.
